This is the other poem I wrote in June 2006 for Round 4 of our writing group.  For this one I just wanted something playful and slightly funny that I could submit.  I am not sure how the others felt, but I quite enjoyed this one!

How to Deal with Monsters

If a little monster comes and wants a bite to eat,
Do not fret but give him one – and make it quite a treat!
Then rub his head and pet his fur,
And send him on his way.
And once he turns his back to you,
Then blow him right away!
